These are from a shoot I did with Kennedy’s Kakes. Her cakes are to die for!:)

Honing the skill…

I have found that by simply shooting portraits and events that its just not enough to develop my skills to its full potential. I definitely want to accomplish identifying my mistakes and knowing how to correct them, but even more so I would like to stretch myself into having different projects that highlight my growth and creativity. Photography is not just about being in the moment, but planning for the next step. So my goal for the rest of 2011 is to put in place a plan for 2012 that will organize and take my work to another level.

“I Do Wedding Photography” is a combination of myself and another friend and photographer Ashley Ervin of Photocentric Photography. What I love most about shooting with Ashley is that we don’t have to have alot of conversation about how to execute the task at hand. We go into our weddings with an accessment of what we are working with and make magic happen.

This is how we (photographers) make magic happen.
